Description
Legado Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva Valle del Maipo 2016 750 ML
Founder, Tomas Machado?s family ancestor Don Manuel de Villefane began making wine in Argentina in the year 1611, which gives us nearly 400 years of wine making experience here in the heart of South America. This impressive winery represents his ?Legacy? or ?Legado? (in Spanish), and we are proud to honor his memory with these fine wines of Maipu, Mendoza. The winery is located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The soil in this area is almost entirely round stones from when the glaciers spread rock and smoothed it over miles and miles. The elevation of the vineyards ranges from 880 meters to 1050 meters above sea level. Don Manuel Villafa?e arrived in Argentina in 1611 from Spain and worked as a farmer, becoming a pioneer of Argentinean viticulture. He was one of the first men planting Spanish vineyards on these lands. His goal was to provide the Church?s priests and later to the colonists who came to the new world to face new opportunities.
